Therapy Modalities

  • CBT is a practical approach that looks at the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It helps people notice unhelpful thinking patterns and learn new strategies to manage challenges.

  • ACT uses mindfulness and behavioural strategies to help respond to difficult thoughts and feelings with openness, rather than struggle. The focus is on clarifying personal values and taking meaningful action, even in the presence of challenges.

  • Schema Therapy works with long-standing patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving that often begin in childhood. By recognising these patterns and understanding their impact, therapy can work towards healthier ways of coping and relating, leading to lasting emotional change and wellbeing.

  • EMDR supports the brain in reprocessing distressing or traumatic memories. Using bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements), it helps reduce the emotional intensity of these memories and fosters healing.

  • DBT is a skills-based therapy that aims to develop emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and to improve interpersonal effectiveness.

Therapy is collaborative and tailored to your needs using evidence-based approaches, including the following:

Supervision

As a Board-Approved Supervisor, I offer clinical supervision to provisional and registered psychologists. I know firsthand how important a safe, supportive supervisory relationship can be — a space not only for professional growth and reflective practice, but also for building confidence and resilience in the work.

My approach to supervision is collaborative, encouraging open conversation about clinical work, professional identity, and self-care. Whether you are starting out in your training or looking to deepen your practice, I aim to provide guidance that is both grounding and practical.
